Intercontinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava

This modern hotel is built on one of the most picturesque coasts of the island of Mauritius: Balaklava - this is the name of this place in the 19th century by English sailors - participants of the Crimean War, by analogy with the bay of the same name in Crimea, admiring the beauty of the Crimean landscapes. Opened in March 2009, Intercontinental stands out for its quality finishes using natural materials and modern technology. The painting uses non-standard color solutions: a lot of white and various shades of gray, which are perfectly combined with pastel tones and with the greenery of the gardens. The hotel occupies an area of ​​10 hectares along a 600 m long beach strip with picturesque coves and a wonderful man-made island a few meters from the beach, where a wooden bridge leads. The fine white sand beach has been cleared of volcanic rock and offers excellent swimming areas. The hotel also has 3 freshwater swimming pools, the main pool of 600 m2 is heated.
